What GW Boardgame is next?


So far we have seen the release of Space Hulk...






...and then Dreadfleet.
What game is next in the queue? Dark Future?
I'm inclined to say no on this one, as I think it was an attempt to cash in on the Mad Max post-apocalyptic frenzy of the 80s.  I don't know that this would be as popular today.

Adeptus Mechanicus?
Well, this evolved into Space Marine, which became Epic 40,000, which became Epic: Armageddon...  So I think this is probably a no as well.  A form of it is still supported (sort of).  You could say the same for some of the other games, like Bloodbowl, and Space Fleet, i.e., Battlefleet Gothic.

So that leaves us with...

Warhammer Quest?  I hope so...I've said it before and I'll say it again--I want this game back!
What other options are there out there?  I can't think of anything else that GW has made that could be next in the boardgame queue.

I thought of that, but it fits in with the games that are still being supported (at least in theory), like Bloodbowl, Mordheim, Battlefleet Gothic, Warmaster, etc...

Advanced Space Crusade! Awesome campaign rules, crazy (and I mean crazy) terrain tiles and objectives. Absurdly complicated moving and shooting rules.

And expansion rules for playing with other races. This is the game they need to make (for me!). It would totally get me to buy minis outside my armies and might be a solid gateway game with my non-40kers! (Space Hulk came close, but not enough variety available!)

With all said about Dark Future it is a contained game and since Car Wars (which was the better system) isn't really around anymore I can see it coming back.

The only thing that will stop it I think is that it doesn't fit into an IP that GW currently own.

You have to remember that there is a new Mad Max movie in production.

Even though I'd love Mordheim, Necromuda, Bloodbowl or any of the more popular ones I think Obscure is the way for them to go which won't had addons like crews, teams, gangs, etc
