Battle Report: Orks vs. Angels of Arrogance Cleanse

This was to be a climactic battle the likes of which neither of us had ever seen. In this battle the Jacob and I would face off with a scenario that is rarely used these days: Cleanse. Most battles I’ve seen tend to use the more specific scenarios, such as Sabotage or Blitz. This time we decided to go against the grain and play something unique. I was eager to debut my newly constructed Space Marine Army, the Angels of Arrogance. It took me a while to amass the 2,000 points of what I needed to make a showing on the battlefield, but now I can field them with pride. For his part, Jacob would be fielding 2,000 of orks from his Waaagh! Grotnob.

Hahahaha! Wow, just stumbled onto this over morning coffee. Brilliant. Reminds me of the time I fought against Black Templars riding in a piece of paper with "LRC" written on it. ><

Lol, was this a joke battle? I've never seen a player as rude as the orks player in this one, so I'm thinking they must be just kidding around. Not to mention he was hypocritical, thinking he was taking a cheese army and got unlucky to be beaten. Taking a 1000 point vehicle is without multiple layers of armor is one of the most horrible ideas I have ever heard of, and anyone who has done the math on gretchin will find that they are not NEARLY as effective as taking ork mobs. This player had one of the worst lists I have ever seen, and it must have been annoying for the space marine player to have him complaining all the time, especially because the ork player thought his list was good..... but after reading the battle report again, I came to the conclusion that the chances of encountering a player like that in real life must be astronomically small, and since all the models were represented by dice and coke cans, and it took place on April fools day..... I have come to the conclusion that this was an exaggerated story, written for the purpose of fun. ^^

Edit to the list above, meant to say the game was a tie, not that the ork player lost. :)

After reading several other battle reports and seeing that these same two people were in most of the other battle reports, I am now POSITIVE they were just kidding around, and Badelaire (or however you pronounce it) isn't actually a rude player. Guess I should have realized it was all just joking around since it happened on April Fools day... whoopsie. >< Good battle report and keep up the good work guys! :)

Greetings,

I am so immensely pleased to have found you again. I used to have your battle reps bookmarked but something happened and I guess I deleted it or you guys moved. But now I have found you again and my glorious first read, picking up around where I can recall last reading, is one of the funniest darn battle reps ever.

I'm looking forward to seeing how you guys end up adapting to 5th - at the very least I'm guessing Darkwing ought to have an easier time vs. the Necrons this edition.

Now, if you'll pardon me, it appears I have plenty of catching up to do.

Regards,
Thor.
